Espace Saint Martin, an atypical place
Formerly known as “Le Palais des Fêtes” (Festival Palace), the building was a vast establishment inaugurated in 1910, which served as both concert café room and cinema. In 1915, a second cinema room opened and it effectively became the first multiplex in Paris! After the end of its movie theater career in 1961, the building evolved as an art gallery and a meeting center.
